Roland’s martial arts and yoga studio

Roland’s martial arts and yoga studio is a local training facility in Frederiksberg, Denmark. The gym offers private and group training in Muay Thai, kung fu, yoga, HIIT training. It’s an exclusive and small studio, with a maximum number of 8 trainees at the same time, to provide the best and most personalized martial arts education.

My
role

I was hired as an external consultant to re-design and develop a website for Roland. His main needs were that the website reflects the style of his studio and that there is an easy-to-use payment system with automatic monthly payments, clip cards, discounts, etc.

I redesigned the brand identity using the colours that are dominant in his studio and his logo – light blue, dark brown and yellow. It’s a very warm, but private and exclusive place to work out at.

My job consisted of three main parts.

First, I had to design his visual identity using the colours found in his studio. For the client’s wish, I created a style that resembles something in between a fancy spa and a modern gym.
After that I developed my design in WordPress, using Elementor.
The most important requirement was to build a booking system that allows customers to sign up for classes, have automated monthly payment deductions and clip cards. For this, I used YOGO, which provides a very user-friendly platform for the customers. They get an overview of the overall schedule, their trainings and payments.
